LUNA'S JOURNEY

IMG_5063 (1).jpg

movementAll started from there; from moving. As a former ballet dancer, I was often confronted with perfection, which led me to this endless circle of never being enough… until Yoga came into my life. And here, I’m not talking about the physical practice, but the emotional, mental, spiritual, ethical practice. I thought Yoga came as the missing piece of the puzzle of my life, but truly it came as the unexpected healer, changing my entire perspective on everything. Born in Paris, I then moved around the globe - living in different countries from Qatar to the UK- as a kid, teenager and young adult. The various shifts made me stop dancing and I got into running. I started with school races and then ran almost everyday for 8 years. Later on, I learned to move in a different way, I learned to connect within, journeying through honesty, rawness, shadows and light.

I was first introduced to meditation by my loving mother, who fought two cancers. Craving knowledge and searching for a deeper way to heal my wounds, I decided to do a Vinyasa teacher training which allowed me to find my voice, to stop being afraid of imperfection and to find my own movement practice that is very much connected to my dance background. Embodied flow, Somatics and other kinds of heart-opening trainings and workshops followed since then. We never stop learning, growing, evolving, it is an endless journey.

Through movement, I express my inner bruises and hidden emotions. As weird as this sounds, I like to say I teach feelings. Actually, I don’t even call myself a « teacher ». I facilitate and hold space. I guide emotions in motion, body poetry.

PRACTICES & TEACHINGS

VINYASA or FLOW

Vinyasa - or now named Flow - involves movement between asana (poses in yoga), accompanied by regulated breathing.
It is about flowing through the poses in transitions. There are many ways and teaching styles when it comes to Vinyasa.

I love to teach in a way you can embrace the state of flow, the fluidity of water, sensing your entire body, creating space physically and emotionally.

EMBODIED YIN

Embodied Yin is a yin practice created by Satu Tuomela, a wonderful teacher." Embodied Yin yoga invites us to explore our multidimensional capacities for healing by listening and sensing with the whole body-mind. It increases awareness of our mind-body connection in each dimension and through different somatic approaches, intuitive movement, classical nondual Tantra, Chinese medicine and Yin yoga, opens up space by helping to release limitations. "

EMBODIED MOVEMENT & DANCE

Dance and movement have always been part of my life. I've always felt the urge to "flow", to feel, sense, stretch, make space, embrace freedom. That is what Ecstatic Dance and Embodied Movement are about: freedom.Freeing yourself from burdens, old patterns, negative emotions. Allowing the stagnant energy to flow freely, to embody arising emotions, being fully present in the here and now.Through embodied movement or somatic, there is a deep focus on the sensory experience.I invite you into a dance of self-knowledge.

GUIDED MEDITATION & PRANAYAMA

I guide themed healing meditations based on the chakras, self-love, self-knowledge, acceptance, emotions, visualisations.Pranayama means breathwork. "Prana" is our life force energy, "Yama" is discipline. Breathing techniques are used to calm the mind, the reduce stress and anxiety, to purify the organs and  awaken our life force energy.

YOGIC PHILOSOPHY, BHAKTI & MANTRA SADHANA

From the Bhagavad Gita, Patanjali's sutras to the energetic body (chakras) and mantra practices, I have always been hooked by those ancient scriptures filled with truth and wisdom. When teaching the yogic philosophy, I invite you to find a way to apply the knowledge in our modern everyday life.
Bhakti means devotion. I practice Bhakti through Kirtan: sacred chants and prayers, always accompanied by my beloved harmonium. Kirtan is anchored in my daily routine, and it is a way for me to connect deeper to the divine within us all.
